When you take control of Nowe, his major power is the ability to employ a wide selection of weapons that are scattered over the battlefield. In Ground combat, the game is played from a third-person perspective while taking place in typically expansive open settings. The Dragon is nimble and can easily sidestep danger by whirling around in a blink of an eye to facing the opposite direction.

Nowe engages in Aerial Combat by riding a dragon against a variety of aerial adversaries who breathe fireballs (strong single shots and weaker multiple lock-on shots). The gameplay can be broken down into two distinct categories: ground combat and aerial combat.
